This project investigates how computational rules function as "default settings" that subtly manipulate human cognition. It focuses on the English input method as a dominant technological infrastructure that exerts invisible linguistic hegemony and psychological pressure on diverse cultures through seemingly neutral tools like spell-checkers.
By using webcam in touchdesigner and mediapipe to detect physical objects and marking them with the red wavy underline, I am dragging this symbol out of the digital page and into our physical reality. It’s a leap beyond linguistics—the 'red squiggle' becomes a universal signifier of 'error' in daily life.
